Welcome back from holidays friends and family! The talonX offices are officially back open and ready to help you (and your business) kick some ass this new year / new decade! A new year is always a really fun time for us creative types – between the break and the clean slate that comes from turning the page on a new decade, we’re seriously looking at new trends, new industry innovations, and new ways to improve all around.
Of course, we have to remind ourselves that we shouldn’t move forward without looking back, but do you know what is a lot more fun than simply reminiscing? Reminiscing with friends! So, we thought we would share with you some really fun, interesting, and creative websites and design projects that we have had the pleasure of creating this past year.
WEATHERSKIN CORPORATION
It’s not every day that a creative agency gets to develop such a deeply rewarding partnership with one of their clients. Both the talonX and Weatherskin Corporation teams bonded quickly and we quickly became their preferred agency.
In the past year, we have created a ground-up online presence for their main e-commerce website as well as dozens of affiliate sites. Our project manager and graphic designers have also worked closely with the Weatherskin crew to design everything from business cards and tradeshow booths, to extensive product catalogues.
SHELTER
As some of you may know, the talonX team is uniquely situated to be the in-house branding and design force behind the Calgary cocktail bar, Shelter. It has been our honour, pleasure, and delight to design the entire brand and overall feel. Think everything from the logo to the menus and the various graphics necessary to keep the brand cohesive and the clients informed.
The Shelter team has been known to give our designers an overall concept and then gives us carte blanche to build beautiful designs for the bar. These designs are made possible because of the trust, respect, and some pretty killer project management that has developed over years of working side-by-side.
SUPERIOR LODGING CORPORATION and MASTERBUILT HOTELS
We always love working with clients that have a strong sense of who they are and where they would like to be. In 2019, we had the opportunity to work closely with two incredible hospitality companies – Superior Lodging Corporation and MasterBUILT Hotels.
For these companies, the talonX team worked closely with their dedicated teams to design and develop websites from the ground up. We had a fun and rewarding experience developing the perfect aesthetic and functionality for the MasterBUILT Hotels locations page and creating the right appeal and user flow for the Superior Lodging Corp vendors page in the drop-down menu.
AZIMUTH CAPITAL CORPORATION
We thought we would end this list with a brand new graphic design client that we began working with at the end of 2019 to build an eye-catching and on-brand Christmas card for.
When Azimuth Capital Corporation reached out to us to develop a holiday card for them, we had an instant creative connection that we like to think bred some truly awesome designs.
The project started off with a variety of creative concepts that Azimuth could choose from. They settled on a geometric outdoor winter scene, something that we were only too happy to get to work on. Once the work began in earnest, they chose a favourite from three versions and two iterations later they had settled on a winner. We think the final product was something that we could all be proud of!
